1.1 At Taptu Limited (Taptu, we or us) we see privacy as being of the utmost importance, and take it very seriously. This policy describes how we collect and use personal information at the tatpu.com website (the taptu.com Site or the Site). It is Taptu's intention not to share personally identifiable information without your written consent, unless required to by law, see clause 3.3 for more details.

1.2 You indicate your agreement to this policy by using the Site. This policy may be amended from time to time without giving notice. Please review this page regularly to take note of the last revised date above. Any amendments will be effective from the date of posting of the revised policy onto the taptu.com Site.

1.3 Where Taptu has provided you with a translation of these terms, the translation is for your convenience only, and the English language version of the terms will preside over your relationship with Taptu.

1.4 Please understand that whilst we use our best endeavours to keep your personal information safe and secure, no security system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of our servers, nor the method used to transmit date between your computer and our servers. You provide all such information at your own risk.

2. What information does Taptu gather?

2.1 The information we gather from our Site falls into two groups, Anonymous information, and Personally identifiable information. Anonymous information is data such as how many searches are made each day, and what the search terms were, and it cannot be traced back to a specific individual. Personally identifiable information does what it says, it is data such as name, email address etc.

2.2 The personally identifiable information we will ask for is an email address. We ask for this in order to remind you of your password if you forget it, and also from time to time to email you with information regarding Taptu's Services. We will not in any circumstances release your email to an external third party, apart from as outlined in 3.3.

2.3 As a first time user to the PC Site you may choose to enter your mobile phone number in order to receive a URL on your mobile for the mobile version of the Taptu Site. We immediately discard your mobile phone number once we have sent the text. You will not be charged for the text message.

2.4 The anonymous information we gather includes, but is not limited to information such as search terms, links clicked on, referral sites, User domain name and IP address, browser and platform type (Whether PC or mobile device).

3. What information does Taptu share?

3.1 We may share anonymous information with current or potential third parties, for example advertisers, research firms. Such information will not include personally identifiable information.

3.2 If you send an email to Taptu, we may keep the email and contact information in order to be able to respond to you.

3.3 If required to do so for legal reasons we will release personal information. Such reasons could include a User has violated our terms of service, a request from law enforcement authorities as a User is suspected or has been involved in illegal activity. We reserve the right to release personal information about our Users when we believe in good faith that such release is required to protect our rights, property, business, safety or security, our Users of the public, or to respond to an emergency.

3.4 In the event of a sale or transfer of assets we reserve the right to transfer all information we have collected from our Users through our Site.

4. Does Taptu use cookies?

4.1 When you first use our Site, it will automatically send a cookie to your computer. We will then use the cookie to obtain login information from your system, such as ip address. You can always remove the cookie at a later date by following the instructions within your computer's file management system. By deleting our cookie, this may prevent you from using certain parts of our Site in the future.

4.2 The cookies will also be used to help customize the way you see and use the Site, so improving your experience.

4.3 The links to other sites displayed on our Site are not within our control. These sites may send their own cookies to your computer. We are not responsible for the information these other sites might collect.

5.1 If you would like your personally identifiable information removed from our records, please email support at taptu.com with your request.
